It began quite a few years ago now, thank God. We got our start when my son asked me to make him tamales for Christmas. Of course, I made too many and we had the idea to put the extras on Craigslist. Within 30 minutes, the phone was ringing and they were all sold out. It seems like a great idea to try again, so we did. This time much like in the 'lower 48' selling them from the back of a car in the grocery store parking lot. However, true to Alaska, it was 40 below.☃
The food police didn't find this to be a good idea at all, and chased us around earning us the title Outlaw Tamales. Before long, with help from God, family and friends, our business opened and has flurished in the city of North Pole.
